Most Makerspace equipment and facilities can be booked in advance. Bookings are recommended, as walk-ins are subject to availability. For a full list of Makerspace equipment currently available, see our Makerspace Equipment List.
To make a booking, you will need an HPL library card in good standing must have completed the Makerspace Waiver. In-person Makerspace bookings can be made via the Makerspace Appointment Request Form. The booking form shows only available locations and equipment. The current schedule of bookings may be viewed through the Makerspace Booking Calendar.
Bookings may be made up to a week in advance. Same-day bookings must be made by phone or in person at the Makerspace desk.
Please note that the Makerspace is a space for self-directed learning – staff are available to give assistance and troubleshooting, but if you require staff assistance with a specific aspect of your project, please fill out the Book an Appointment form and we will contact you to schedule a mutually agreeable time.
